FDP on "Cyber Security and Digital Forensics”, from August 21 to 25 at ATME Engineering College, Mysore
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, ATME College of Engineering (ATMECE), Mysuru had organised one-week State-level Faculty Development Program on “Cyber Security and Digital Forensics”, from August 21 to 25 at its premises in the city.
During the programme, distinguished experts from industry and academia delivered talks as resource persons.
Dr Sudhakara A M, Director Pas3cyberlabs, Mysuru, spoke on ‘Emerging Trends in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics’ with various case studies of Ransomware attack on supply chain of health care sector.
Mahesh Vastrad, Founder & MD of Agamya Infotech, Dharwad, conducted practical hands-on upon Network Security, Port scanning, exploitation, Tools on Nmap and Metasploit Framework. Additionally, he shared valuable insights on ADB, SQLite DB, Genny Motion and more.
Dr Lokesh M R, Professor, VCET, Puttur addressed about the significance of Block Chain in Cyber and Digital Forensics.
Dr Chennamma, Associate Professor, JSS Science and Technology University (JSSSTU), Mysuru, briefed about ‘Digital Imaging Forensics’ and also spoke about the tools that helps in detecting true images and forged images from the tools such as JPEG swoop, Foto Forensics and Tin eye.
Dr K T Veeramanju, Director, Pas3cyberlabs, Mysuru shared his expertise in ‘Digital Forensics and Mobile Forensics’ and also gave insights about advance features of mobile data recovering.
Dr S P Shivaprakash, Professor, JSSSTU, Mysuru shared insights about IoT, various possible IoT attacks and IoT security tools such as Armis, Fore scout, Zing box, Mucana etc.
Participants from various institutions across the State were given awareness on concurrent cyber security challenges and hands on training on Forensic Tools.
The program convener, Professor & Head Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Dr Parthasarathy L, Event Coordinators Dr Shakunthala C, Associate Professor Shreeshayana R, Assistant Professor and Vinod Kumar P, Assistant Professor, Maria Sushma S, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, ATMECE were present.
